Every platform shows your avatar as a small square or circle, but each asks for a different upload. The table above compares them: the size ImgWrench exports for each one, the formats the platform accepts and its file limit, with a link to a free tool that makes it.

Which size should I use?

Use the size listed for each platform. Twitch publishes an exact size, 256×256; Kick, TikTok and YouTube give only a minimum or nothing at all, so the starred sizes are ImgWrench's picks, large enough to stay sharp. Start from a square image of at least 1080×1080 pixels and every row can be made from it without blurring.

Keep the middle clear

An avatar shown as a circle loses its corners. Keep faces and logos in the middle and leave a little space around them, so nothing important ends up there. Every profile picture tool on ImgWrench has a Circle shape, so you can see the round crop before you download.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize a profile picture for every platform at once?

Drop your photo into the tool on the ImgWrench home page, tick the platforms you use and download one ZIP with every avatar size. To fine-tune a single one, open its row in the table above: each page crops, resizes and checks the file against that platform's limit, all in your browser.

What profile picture size works on every platform?

A square image of at least 1080×1080 pixels covers every platform in the table, because each one scales avatars down. Upload the size each platform asks for, though: Twitch, for example, wants 256×256 and up to 10MB, so a smaller file loads faster and is cropped exactly the way you see it.

What size is a Twitch profile picture?

256×256 pixels, as PNG, JPG or GIF up to 10MB, according to Twitch's help. The Twitch profile picture resizer makes it from any image.

What size is a Discord profile picture?

Discord publishes no pixel size for avatars, so ImgWrench exports 512×512 PNG or GIF. The Discord profile picture resizer makes it, and crops it to a circle if you like.

Why do some sizes in the table have a star?

A star marks a size ImgWrench chose because the platform publishes none, or only a minimum. TikTok, for example, only says photos must be at least 20×20 pixels, and YouTube gives no upload size at all. In those cases we export a size large enough to stay sharp wherever the avatar is shown, and say so.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Every ImgWrench tool runs entirely in your browser, so your images are resized on your own device and never sent to a server. Nothing is stored or shared. You can check this yourself: open your browser's network tab while you resize and download, and you'll see no image data leave the page.
