ImgWrench is a free Discord banner resizer: one image in, a 680×240 profile banner and a 960×540 server banner out. The two have different shapes, so you can crop each one separately.
How to resize a Discord banner
- Drop your image or GIF into the tool above.
- Keep Profile banner, Server banner or both selected.
- Choose Contain, Cover or Crop. With Crop, you set the frame for each banner shape on its own.
- Download single files or everything as a ZIP.
Uploading to Discord
Profile banner (Nitro): open User Settings, go to the Profiles tab and choose Change Banner. Discord lets you crop again after uploading.
Server banner (Boosting Level 2): server owners and admins can add it in Server Settings. It appears at the top of your channel list.
Design tips
- Leave the top of server banners calm. Discord recommends keeping the top 48px simple so your server name stays readable.
- Skip logos and text. Discord advises against them on server banners; key art, a character still or a subtle background works better.
- Upload large. Starting from at least 1920×1080 gives both banner shapes enough detail.
Why ImgWrench
- Two shapes, one upload. Profile and server banners each get their own crop.
- Sharp on every screen. A 2× profile banner is included.
- Private by design. Your images never leave your device.
- GIF support. Animated banners keep their frame timing.
