Image sizes by type

The same kind of image, compared across every platform. Pick a type to see every size and file limit in one table.

How to read these tables

Each type page puts the same kind of image side by side for every platform ImgWrench covers: the size to upload, the formats the platform accepts and its file limit. Every row was checked against the platform's own help pages, which are linked on each tool page, and each row opens a free tool that makes exactly that file in your browser.

Which size should I make first?

Start from one large source and crop down, never up. A square image of at least 1080 pixels covers every profile picture in the tables, a wide image of at least 2560 pixels covers every banner, and a square of at least 512 pixels covers every emote and sticker. A star next to a size marks ImgWrench's own pick, where the platform publishes no exact size or only a minimum.

Why uploads get rejected

Most rejected images break one of three rules: the file is over the platform's limit, the shape doesn't match what it expects, or the format isn't accepted. Discord stickers, for example, take PNG or APNG but not GIF. The upload checker tests a file against those rules before you upload, and offers a one-click fix.
