ImgWrench's SVG to ICO converter turns a vector logo into a Windows .ico file. Each size you pick, from 16 to 256 pixels, is drawn from the SVG at exactly that size, so small icons keep crisp edges instead of being scaled down from one large bitmap.
How to convert SVG to ICO
- Drop one or more SVG files into the tool above.
- Keep the default sizes, or tick the ones you need.
- If a drawing isn't square, choose Contain or Cover.
- Download each .ico, or all of them as a ZIP.
Which sizes to include
Windows looks for an exact size first and scales the next size down when there isn't one. Microsoft recommends at least 16, 24, 32, 48 and 256 pixels; Windows can also use 20, 30, 36, 40, 60, 64, 72, 80 and 96 at higher display scaling.
Tips for SVG icons
- Outline your text. Fonts your SVG doesn't embed won't load inside an image; convert text to paths first.
- Check the 16px preview. Fine detail that looks great at 256 can turn to mush at 16.
- Set a viewBox. It tells every tool, including this one, the drawing's true shape.
