ImgWrench is a free Kick emote resizer: drop in an image or animated GIF and get a square 500×500 emote, the size Kick's help center lists, checked against the 1MB limit. Stream on Twitch or run a Discord server too? Export their sizes from the same upload.

How to make a Kick emote

  1. Drop your image or animated GIF into the tool above. You can add several at once.
  2. If it isn't square, choose Contain, Cover or Crop.
  3. Tick Twitch emote or Discord emoji if you want those sizes too.
  4. Download the emote, or everything as a ZIP.

Uploading emotes to Kick

Go to your Streamer Dashboard, select Community under Channel, and click the [+] icon under Channel Emotes. Choose your file, give the emote a name, and click Save. Subscriber-only emotes go under Subscriber-only Emotes on the same page.

Design tips

  • Design for chat size. Emotes show far smaller than 500px in chat. Bold shapes and thick outlines read; fine detail doesn't.
  • Use a transparent background. It sits cleanly on light and dark themes.
  • Keep GIFs lean. Fewer frames and colours keep an animated emote under 1MB.
  • Own the art. Kick's emote guide says you need the rights to everything in your emotes, including logos and likenesses.

Why ImgWrench

  • Kick, Twitch and Discord at once. One upload, every platform's sizes.
  • Checked against the limit. Over-1MB files are flagged and can be compressed.
  • Private by design. Your art never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image into a Kick emote?

Drop your image or animated GIF into the tool above; you can add several at once. If it isn't square, choose Contain, Cover or Crop. Tick Twitch emote or Discord emoji if you want those sizes too, then download the 500×500 emote or everything as a ZIP. Upload it from your Streamer Dashboard under Community.

What size are Kick emotes?

Kick's help center lists 500×500 pixels, in PNG or GIF, less than 1MB. ImgWrench exports exactly that and shows each file's size. Emotes show far smaller than 500px in chat, so design for chat size: bold shapes and thick outlines read, fine detail doesn't, and a transparent background sits cleanly on light and dark themes.

Can Kick emotes be animated?

Yes, Kick accepts GIF emotes. Drop in an animated GIF and ImgWrench resizes every frame to 500×500 and keeps its timing. Animated emotes have the same 1MB limit, so keep GIFs lean: fewer frames and colours keep the file under it. If it still goes over, ImgWrench flags it and can compress it.

How many emotes can I add on Kick?

Every channel can upload up to 60 emotes. Affiliates and Verified channels can also add up to 24 subscriber-only emotes. Add channel emotes from your Streamer Dashboard: select Community under Channel, click the + icon under Channel Emotes, choose your file, name it and save. Subscriber-only emotes go in their own section on the same page.

What if my Kick emote is over 1MB?

ImgWrench flags it, and one click compresses it by reducing colours and, for GIFs, frames until it fits under 1MB. To keep as much quality as possible, start lean: trim the loop and use fewer colours before you drop the GIF in. Every file shows its size, so you can check it before downloading.

Can I use the same emote on Twitch and Discord?

Yes. Tick Twitch emote or Discord emoji and ImgWrench also exports Twitch's 112, 56 and 28px sizes or Discord's 128×128, each checked against that platform's limits. For sub badges and channel points icons as well, use the Twitch emote resizer, which makes the full Twitch set from one image.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser: ImgWrench resizes your images on your own device, and they are never sent to a server or stored anywhere else. You can confirm this yourself by opening your browser's network tab while you use the tool and checking that no request carries your image data.
