Google Play's store listing needs a 512×512 app icon, a 32-bit PNG of at most 1024KB, a 1024×500 feature graphic saved as a JPEG or a 24-bit PNG with no alpha, and screenshots in the same formats. The table above shows what ImgWrench exports, and each row links to a free tool that makes it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize images to Google Play image sizes?

Pick a row in the table above. The Google Play icon maker makes the 512×512 app icon, and the feature graphic maker makes the 1024×500 banner without an alpha channel. Drop in your image, check the size badge and download one file or a ZIP. It all happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

What size is the Google Play app icon?

512×512 pixels, as a 32-bit PNG with alpha, at most 1024KB. The Google Play icon maker makes it and checks the file size.

What size is the Google Play feature graphic?

1024×500 pixels, as a JPEG or a 24-bit PNG with no alpha. The feature graphic maker saves it in exactly that format.

What size are Google Play screenshots?

JPEG or 24-bit PNG, 320 to 3840 pixels per side; 9:16 at 1080×1920 or 16:9 at 1920×1080 for promotions. The screenshot resizer makes both.

Where do these Google Play sizes come from?

From the Play Console Help page on preview assets and Google's icon design specifications, checked on the date shown under the table. They cover the app icon, the feature graphic and screenshots. Promo videos have their own rules and aren't covered here; the table and tools are updated together when Google changes them.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Every ImgWrench tool runs entirely in your browser, so your images are resized on your own device and never sent to a server. Nothing is stored or shared. You can check this yourself: open your browser's network tab while you resize and download, and you'll see no image data leave the page.
