ImgWrench's App Store screenshot resizer turns your screenshots into the exact pixel sizes App Store Connect accepts, from the required iPhone size to iPad and Mac, and saves them without an alpha channel, as Apple asks.

How to resize App Store screenshots

  1. Drop up to 20 screenshots into the tool above.
  2. Keep iPhone ticked and add iPad 13-inch, landscape or Mac if you need them.
  3. Choose Contain, Cover or Crop for screenshots of another shape.
  4. Download the ZIP and upload the screenshots in App Store Connect.

Apple's screenshot rules

App Store Connect Help asks for at least one and up to 10 screenshots per device size, as JPEG or PNG, with no alpha channels or transparencies. Screenshots for iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display) are required, and so are iPad 13-inch screenshots if your app runs on iPad. When your interface is the same across devices, the highest required resolution is enough: App Store Connect scales it down for smaller devices.

Which sizes the tool makes

  • iPhone: 1206×2622, the required medium Dynamic Island display (portrait).
  • iPhone large: 1320×2868, for the large Dynamic Island display.
  • iPad 13-inch: 2064×2752, required if your app runs on iPad.
  • Landscape: 2622×1206 for iPhone and 2752×2064 for iPad.
  • Mac: 2880×1800, one of the 16:10 sizes Apple accepts.

Why ImgWrench

  • Exact sizes. Pixel for pixel what App Store Connect accepts.
  • No alpha. Every PNG is saved without transparency.
  • Private by design. Your screenshots never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize screenshots for the App Store?

Drop up to 20 screenshots into the tool above. iPhone at 1206×2622 is ticked, the size Apple requires; tick iPad 13-inch, the landscape sizes or Mac if your app needs them. Choose Contain, Cover or Crop for images of another shape, then download everything as a ZIP and upload it in App Store Connect.

What size are App Store screenshots?

It depends on the device. Apple requires screenshots for iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), 1206×2622 or 1179×2556 in portrait, and for the iPad 13-inch display, 2064×2752 or 2048×2732, if your app runs on iPad. Larger iPhones, such as 1320×2868, and Mac at 2880×1800 are optional.

Do I need screenshots for every iPhone size?

No. If your app's interface is the same across devices, Apple says you only need screenshots for the highest required resolution, and App Store Connect scales them down for smaller devices. In practice that means the iPhone size, plus iPad 13-inch if your app runs on iPad. You can still upload specific screenshots for other sizes.

Why does App Store Connect reject my screenshot?

Check the two things Apple's specifications require: the screenshot must be one of the accepted pixel sizes for its device, and it can't include alpha channels or transparencies. This tool makes the exact pixel sizes and saves every PNG without alpha, filling any transparent areas with white, so both are taken care of.

How many App Store screenshots can I upload?

At least one and up to 10 per device size, as JPEG or PNG. Drop all of them here at once: each screenshot is resized to every size you ticked and keeps its own file name. To process more than 20 images in one go, use the bulk image processor.

Can I make Google Play screenshots from the same images?

Yes, but Google Play wants different shapes: 9:16 portrait or 16:9 landscape, at least 1080 pixels on the short side to qualify for its promotional formats. The Google Play screenshot resizer makes those sizes from the same screenshots, also without an alpha channel.

Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser: ImgWrench resizes your screenshots on your own device, and they are never sent to a server or stored anywhere else. You can confirm this yourself by opening your browser's network tab while you use the tool and checking that no request carries your image data.
